How to Use This Hub
This hub is a reference system, not a course. Here's how to navigate it.
Overview
Use the sidebar to move between sections. Start at your current level. Switch levels when the problem changes. Come back when you are ready for the next step.
You do not need to read everything. Each page stands on its own.
Structure
The hub is organized into sections:
- Getting Started - Context and orientation (you are here)
- APL (Power) - Your control and execution level - from browser chat to full multi-agent systems
- AAL (Access) - How deep your agent reaches into your files, code, and data
- AOL (Orchestration) - How well your agent knows your project and follows your rules
- Research - External learning resources tagged with APL levels so you know what fits your setup
- Jobs - Job offers in the agent builder field, matched to your level from your AI Setup Snapshot
- Glossary - Definitions for all key terms used across the hub
How to read
Every page is self-contained. You do not need to read in order. Each page has:
- An Overview box at the top - read it first to know if the page is useful for you
- Level badges - showing which APL, AAL, or AOL level the content relates to APL - PowerAPL 1 · Zero SetupZero SetupAPL 2 · Light SetupLight SetupAPL 3 · Dev SetupDev SetupAPL 4 · System SetupSystem SetupAAL - AccessAAL 1 · AdvisorAdvisorAAL 2 · BotBotAAL 3 · CollaboratorCollaboratorAAL 4 · OperatorOperatorAAL 5 · System OrchestratorSystem OrchestratorAOL - OrchestrationAOL 1 · DisconnectedNo ContextAOL 2 · AwareCLAUDE.mdAOL 3 · Informed/docsAOL 4 · CapableSkillsAOL 5 · IntegratedHooks

Finding your starting point
Not sure which level you are at? Take the AI Setup Snapshot. It takes about 90 seconds and shows you exactly where you stand - and what risks you carry.
If you already know your setup:
- Using ChatGPT or Gemini in the browser - start at APL 1: Zero Setup
- Using Cursor, Windsurf, or Copilot - start at APL 2: Light Setup
- Using Claude Code, Aider, or Ollama - start at APL 3: Dev Setup
- Running multi-agent systems - start at APL 4: System Setup
Switching levels
Your level is not fixed. A builder at APL 3 can still work at APL 1 when the task is simple. The level follows the problem, not the person. Use the one that fits what you are solving right now.
Research and Jobs
Every resource in the Research section is labeled with APL levels where the content applies. This tells you whether a course or resource fits your current setup - before you start it.
Job offers in the Jobs section are labeled the same way. If you have taken the AI Setup Snapshot, you can filter jobs that match your current APL and AAL level directly.
