Your Claude Code Project Has Zero SEO. Fix It in 15 Minutes.
Most AI-built sites have no title tags, no schema, no alt text. This template adds a complete SEO system to any Claude Code project - config, prompts, checklists, and four ready-made skills.
8 SEO Problems Every Vibe-Coded Site Has
Claude Code builds what you describe. You never described SEO. These are the gaps it left.
Invisible
Search engines cannot find the site you just built. No traffic arrives from Google or Bing.
Costly
Every visitor comes from ads or outreach. SEO is the only channel where cost goes down over time.
Bare
No title tags, no meta descriptions, no alt text, no schema. Claude Code builds what you ask for. Nothing else.
Unread
JavaScript-rendered pages get missed or partially indexed. Google sees a blank page.
Slow
Uncompressed images slow your pages. Google confirmed speed as a ranking factor.
Isolated
Pages do not link to each other. Authority never builds. Rankings never climb.
Duplicate
Similar pages without canonical tags get treated as duplicates and penalized.
Blind
No Search Console, no analytics. You publish without knowing if anything lands.
Without This Template vs With It
Without the template
SEO is manual, inconsistent, and always one step behind.
- You run SEO checks manually once a month, if at all
- New pages ship without title tags, schema, or alt text
- Images stay uncompressed until someone notices the score
- Internal linking is whoever remembered it last session
- Claude has no idea what your SEO standards are
Good site. Nobody finds it.
With the template
SEO is part of how Claude Code works, not a separate task.
- Claude knows your SEO standards from session one
- Every new page gets a mini-audit before it ships
- Images are optimized automatically on save
- On-demand audits run in 15 minutes with one command
- Schema markup added to every page in one pass
Good site. Google can actually see it.

Common questions
Why do Claude Code projects have poor SEO by default?
When you describe a project to Claude Code, you describe the product and how it should work. You do not describe the metadata, schema markup, image compression, or internal linking strategy. Claude Code builds exactly what you ask for. Everything search engines need to rank a page has to be asked for separately. This template adds those instructions permanently.
How is this different from a regular SEO checklist?
A checklist tells you what to do. This template makes Claude Code do it. The CLAUDE-SEO.md config means Claude knows your SEO standards from session one. The four skills run audits, optimize images, and check new pages on demand. The prompts give you the exact language to use for each task. You get a system, not a list.
What are the four SEO skills included?
The four skills are: /seo-audit (full technical audit of every page), /seo-new-page (mini-check whenever you create a new page), /seo-images (find and optimize every uncompressed image), and /seo-content (check any page against a target keyword). Each one runs in Claude Code with a single command.
Does this work on any type of project?
The template works on any Claude Code project where you have direct file access - SvelteKit, Next.js, plain HTML, any static site generator. The CLAUDE-SEO.md config and the prompts are plain text that you adapt to your stack. The skills are written to work on file-based projects generically.
